I believe it may be due to your "Loads of Good Learning Days" post. The squigglies in this particular post go almost across the page.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12409884162620456941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7452897359193577804.post-17992419051516190272007-05-08T15:14:00.000-07:002007-05-08T15:14:00.000-07:00Thanks, ladies, for letting me know that it looks ...Thanks, ladies, for letting me know that it looks okay from your end. If you change the background color, you'll lose all the nice shading on the sides.

Also, it looks like you took the title out of your title bar completely, so that when I go into a blog reader or your profile, your blog shows up as ".". There should be an option in the window where you chose to add the picture that allows you to not have the title show up on the screen (without having to delete the title).

I hope that wasn't as clear as mud. :)love2learnmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10548471887979257624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7452897359193577804.post-10476592748101581562007-05-08T06:20:00.000-07:002007-05-08T06:20:00.000-07:00Thanks for checking it out Karen. Christine, I do ...This is all so fascinating to me. Christine, I do want to keep the width at 800px if it is possible. In my current template the header at 760px was making me feel clostrophobic for some reason - the large green background seemed very imposing. (Perhaps this is because my old template had no text boxes and felt very open to me). I don't mind changing templates if I need to.Kristen Laurencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03832263040185490691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7452897359193577804.post-56093872754870957132007-05-07T12:44:00.000-07:002007-05-07T12:44:00.000-07:00I've come across that problem too, but this one is...I've come across that problem too, but this one is in addition to it. Even on the same computer, Firefox will come out different from IE on occasion.

I did edit the html for changing the margins on the Dead Language Latin Club blog, but something was strange about it. I had the problem with an earlier blog, started fresh and did it again, and it was okay.love2learnmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10548471887979257624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7452897359193577804.post-65178720372466160132007-05-07T11:28:00.000-07:002007-05-07T11:28:00.000-07:00Unless people are willing to edit html, they need ...Unless people are willing to edit html, they need to stay within the size parameters set by the template that they are using. It is not simply a Firefox/Explorer issue. We are running IE on all of our computers. The blog you mention and Kristen's blog look fine on our laptop, but on our 19" monitors their layouts do not look right. For example, Kristen's header (inserted the easy way using the widget) needs to have a width of 760px to be centered on various computers. At 800px (its current size), the header is not centered. The header can be centered, regardless of the computer being used, by editing the html, or by staying with the width of 760px. This explanation is probably as clear as mud. I have had numerous interruptions. Time to help my eldest with Math.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12409884162620456941noreply@blogger.com
